METHADONE

One of the main topics for this blog will be methadone treatment for addiction. The editor is in favor of it because I've seen it work. The blog is open to stories and opinions, especially from addicts, in and out of treatment, and their families. In the editor's experience, the methadone clinic, rather than being the grimy, depressing place portrayed in the media and in the opinions of people who haven't experienced the pain of addiction, is often a comforting place, where those in need can get help and can meet others with similar problems. In addition, counseling and group treatment often take place there. Of course, it's also a place where fear and disappointment can occur, typically following dirty drug screens or financial problems.
So, for those with similar views, I'd like this blog topic to be the literary and social equivalent of the methadone clinic, without the fear or disappointment. Other viewpoints are welcome as well.

SPORTS

Arkansas Razorback fans cheer up. It looks really tough right now, especially after yesterday's loss to Kentucky, but this is a young, talented basketball team that's well-coached and aggressive. They won't go anywhere this year, but look out next year. The crowd of over 19000 yesterday knew it. Their loud enthusiasm was in stark contrast to the bleak results on the court. With Washington at center, Fortson (yes, he'll be back and be okay), Rotnei Clarke and Welch at guard and Sanchez and Jason Avery at forward, they'll be okay.
They are fun watch.
If you disagree, let me know, even though I'll hate you.

APPEARANCE

Hey, I kind of like the way this looks. Now, I will attempt to make these first two posts the last silly, uninteresting, maintenance-type ones.

BREAKTHROUGH

This will be worth reading. If it's not, please make it so. I'm going to tell my life story along with many other more interesting writings.
